VP Bank Opus Award 2024
VP Bank and the Liechtenstein Music Academy have launched a new sponsorship prize: the VP Bank Opus Award. At a gala event, a total of five young musicians, selected in advance by the Liechtenstein Music Academy, demonstrated their skills and competed for the VP Bank Opus Award. Fabian Egger from Germany impressed the expert jury, consisting of Dr. Christine Rhomberg, member of the board of the Hilti Foundation, Michaela Braun, Head of Communications and Marketing of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, and Andrea Meuli, Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of the magazine "Musik & Theater", and emerged as the first winner of the VP Bank Opus Award.
"VP Bank is proud to support young talent through its sponsorship activities and to help them launch their professional careers. The VP Bank Opus Award is aimed at musicians who have already achieved great success at an early age. The award recognises not only musical achievements, but also other qualities such as expressiveness and willingness to learn, which are crucial for a successful future. Fabian Egger convinced the jury of his abilities and won the VP Bank Opus Award. My congratulations to him," says Adrian Schneider, Head of the Liechtenstein & BVI Region.
Next Award Ceremony in 2025
As part of VP Bank's commitment to fostering talent over the long term, the award will be presented again next year. Fabian Egger's name will soon be engraved so that the VP Bank Opus Award can be passed on to future up-and-coming artists. As the winner of this year's award, Fabian Egger received CHF 5,000 in prize money and a gold pin, sponsored by Huber Watches and Jewellery in Vaduz.
